AAR BATTLE REPORT pulp COMMON ENEMIES

This scenario is based on the Four Faces of Doctor Fang, featured in Pulp alley's monthly scenario compilation. 

I have adapted it to my game system, although it is practically the same as the original one, in terms of the background I have changed some things to adapt it to my miniatures (basically because I don't have police miniatures).




COMMON ENEMIES 
(Aka the four faces of doctor Fang) 

In the Irish neighborhood no one dares to go on the streets, last night several men of the O'Malley clan were brutally murdered in the middle of the street when they were getting into their car. 

It is not known who is the murderer, although the brutality used and the use of sharp weapons has confused both the gang and the police. 

O'Malley's gang is out in the streets looking for the murderer, the police prefer to look in another way... if the violent gangs decide to kill each other better than better.


Our investigators are contacted by a friend, a paranormal investigator, who tells them that he believes that what killed the gangsters is not human in view of various evidence. 

Several witnesses spoke of a giant man leaping from the rooftops, and the police have found traces of a sticky substance stuck to the walls and the bodies of the members of the murdered gang. 

And the bodies were dismembered and destroyed by something that looks like claws, not the usual firearms of the fights between gangs. 

So, the adventurers decide to go to the Irish neighborhood in search of clues while dodging the gangsters who guard the streets.





According to the scenario, we have five Plot points (green dots) that represent possible clues to find and that must be checked by the characters.


The characters are divided into two groups to advance and get the plot points soon, stealthily and covered by darkness. 

As you move forward, the gangsters could see you, for which they are thrown in case they see them sneaking through the alleys. 

The first plot point is a clue about what happened, in this case it is a man who tells them that the group of murdered gangsters were known for their violence and that a couple of days ago they murdered an Asian boy nearby.





One of the characters ventures alone to get a near plot point, being another clue, finding symbols in a Chinese language painted on a wall and remains of some kind of viscous mass stuck behind a dumpster. 

In the distance two gangsters see him and run towards him, when they are at a certain distance they decide to shoot him, making him flee injured. 






The other characters take the third Plot point, a man who tells them that the father of the murdered Asian boy was in the neighborhood last night, made several Chinese symbols on the walls and floors and threw a yellow powder on the floor while shouting things in Chinese. Several neighbors had to take him away. 

Suddenly, two gangsters turn around the corner and see the characters there, so they approach and shoot them to kill them.





Meanwhile, two other characters discover the fourth plot point, which is a circular drawing on the ground with Chinese symbols that they recognize as an oriental invocation of a spirit of revenge.


And according to the scenario, when four plot points are revealed, the fifth one transforms into a Yuomo, the spirit of revenge from Chinese mythology, a being who is summoned to take revenge from the summoner. 

The person who summons the spirit seeks revenge for some bad things suffered, and the spirit of revenge is summoned to make pay for that bad things. 

So in the fifth Plot point appears ... 
A Yuomo ... 
The spirit of revenge ...



The Yuomo attacks the closest humans, who happens to be the characters who have revealed the fourth Plot point. 

At the sight of this monster, the gangsters of the Irish clan group together with the characters attacking the Yuomo, realizing that this being must be the one who killed his companions. 

From this point onwards, the gangsters come under the player's control, initiating a brutal firefight on the summoned spirit.






The being receives many shots, but attacks the adventurers, wounding one and leaving another ko, although with the amount of shots received he decides to jump to a roof with the intention of fleeing. 

Finally the monster is shot down in this last turn, falling to the ground and dissolving into a viscous mass. 

A fine rain start to fall, washing the slimy remains down the pipes.
