Sergeant Reickhart deployed in France a week ago with his unit, after fighting supernatural beings before, they are chosen to do an incursion in unknown territory.
They head to Conveaux, a small town near the enemy lines, and they are taken to a building where a couple of high rank officers are talking over a map, once they enter they are told their mission:
"son, come over... This is Chantre-des-bestong (pointing a smalll town in the map) it's just a few miles from us...
We think the enemy is still in the town, but we are not completely sure as to move the troops over there...
We sent two days ago a recconoisance unit under Sargeant Curwen's command
They passed through this forest here (pointing the map) to reach Chantre-des-bestong, and we don't know if they reached the village.
Your mission will be to follow the track of Sergeant Curwen's unit, locate it, and reach the village in order to report on the enemy's position ...
I will not tell you that it is a mission free of dangers, but that is why we have chosen you, be very careful ... "
Sergeant Reickhart and his unit walk along forest paths, listening to some animal noises through the thicket of trees.
After several hours walking they see a small group of houses in a forest clearing, everything is silent and nobody is seen in the area.

Our group of paratroopers is inspecting the area when they begin to hear noises approaching.
Suddenly, out of the trees they see figures staggering and heading towards them... Pale German soldiers, with completely white eyes, with wounds that are incompatible with life...Growling and raising their arms towards them...
And some creatures like gigantic spiders appear running from several points dashing at the soldiers in an attempt to devour them...
In a fast deployment, the soldiers advance towards the points of interest, but the beings that lurk are fast...
A giant spider advances fast and attacks the sergeant. ..
Although it isn't a real danger.
A soldier is attacked by another spider and a German soldier is approaching as well with his arms raised to the paratrooper.
Another soldier is attacked by another exhauated German...
Just to discover that he is beyond exhausted, and they look like reanimated corpses that attack by claw and nail...
In a mutilated civilian corpse he finds spider bites, as if life had been drained from him...
But the bites seem to be made by much bigger spiders than the ones they are seeing right now...
Yet another zombie is shot dead as more zombies and more giant spiders keep coming out
A soldier is attacked by two zombies, both falling without managing to injure the soldier.
A zombie comes into close combat with another soldier, wounding him ...
But between three soldiers they kill it (again, they assume) with the butts of their weapons
More spiders come out that attack a soldier, wounding him and putting him on the run to take refuge among his companions...
With a few meters between them, they shoot the remaining spiders and manage to take the following points of interest, finding the corpse of Sergeant Curwen, which show several bites of huge spiders all along his body.
Even at the last search point the sergeant appears a zombie from behind a tree, being quickly killed by Sargeant Reickhart.
Sergeant Reickhart regroups his men again
After burying sergeant Curwen, the unit reload their weapons and follow the track of those bigger spiders, that seem to go towards the village...
I love it! Can't wait to see what's next!
